Witness to the glory period of the livestock industry in Magallanes and a source of employment for many of the immigrant pioneers who arrived to this part of the world. With the sound of ranch bells ringing at the break of day around 6am, a new working day would begin. 
Sheepshearers, wool carriers and sweepers, amongst others, would begin their daily chores without taking a pause for breath in order to finish shearing and transporting the bales of wool by the end of the day. The ranch bells would ring again at 9am, signaling the time to sit down to eat a huge breakfast of lamb chops, porridge and plenty of coffee.
