Small Time Trader
He was a figure that emerged in Patagonia at the end of the 19th century. He supplied all kinds of merchandise to the ranch workers who lived in isolation due to the immensity of the Magallanic territory.
He was a merchant, who with his freighter or wagon horses, toured Patagonia for months to sell and exchange items he acquired from ships arriving at the Strait, from local commerce and bartering. The figure of a small time trader disappeared with the development of stores and connectivity, today we no longer find him traveling the pampas.
