Museum of Memory
The Museum of Memory is an institution that has a collection of objects, machinery and tools that date back to the origins of the population in the Magallanes region. The museum, which depends on the Institute of Patagonia, was created in 1969 with the aim of showing and disseminating the process of development of the area and the way of life since 1880, the time of the pioneering colonization, until 1950.

Regional Museum of Magallanes
Regional Museum of Magallanes, inaugurated in February 1983, in the magnificent setting of the Braun-Menéndez Palace of Punta Arenas, brings together an important collection of objects that are testimony to the passage of man in his historical passage through the region.

Punta Arenas Cathedral
Punta Arenas Cathedal, also known as the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Punta Arenas, is an Ionic-style building and its Renaissance tower, which is dedicated to the order of the Salesians. Its construction began on December 28, 1892 on the plans made by the Father of the Salesian Order Juan Bernabé. Its interior is of a basilical style, with three naves of Romanesque style and divided by Corinthian columns is 46 meters long, 18 wide and 30.60 high. The bell tower was raised in 1898, and measures 30 meters to the cross. In the tower were placed seven bells and a clock, those that were blessed in 1899, bought in Italy. The watch was replaced in 1991 by a computerized one.

Located just 154 kilometers northwest of Puerto Natales and 399 kilometers from Punta Arenas, this 227,298-hectare sanctuary was founded under the name of Lago Gray National Tourism Park on May 13, 1959, when the main activity of the area was still Livestock and tourism were relegated to a few adventurers. Just on April 30, 1970, the park adds 11,000 new hectares to its protected terrain and is baptized as it is known today: Torres del Paine National Park.

Fuerte Bulnes
Fuerte Bulnes was a Chilean fort located on the Strait of Magellan, 52 kilometers south of Punta Arenas and a few kilometers from Cape Froward. It was founded on October 30, 1843 on the rocky nose of Santa Ana Point, under the mandate of President Manuel Bulnes Prieto. It was destroyed in a few years, leaving the place in a state of abandonment. For the centenary of its foundation, it was rebuilt, being reopened as a site museum in 1943.

Palacio Sara Braun
Sara Braun vino desde su Rusia natal a las tierras australes por el año 1874 y se casó en 1887 con un empresario portugués, el emprendedor José Nogueira. Entre otros negocios exitosos, como la exportación de oro, Nogueira fue uno de los primeros en dedicarse a la crianza de ovejas y el fundador de la Sociedad Explotadora de Tierra del Fuego. En 1886 comenzó a recibir una concesión que alcanzó el millón de hectáreas en la zona de Magallanes y cuyo administrador fue el hermano de Sara, Mauricio Braun. Con una extraordinaria fortuna en su haber, Nogueira murió por tuberculosis a los 48 años y dejó a su esposa un valioso patrimonio, que doña Sara supo cuidar y administrar muy bien. En 1895 la bella viuda de Nogueira finalizó la construcción de la magnífica casa que había ordenado su esposo al arquitecto francés Numa Mayer cinco años antes de morir. Tanto los materiales como el mobiliario y los exquisitos detalles de estilo fueron adquiridos en Europa y transportados en barco hasta Magallanes. El palacio quedó finalmente terminado en 1905 y luce dos plantas, una elegante fachada y un magnífico jardín de invierno de estructura metálica. En la fotografía se aprecia esta construcción hace décadas atrás. En el mismo año en que Sara inauguraba su flamante casona, el arquitecto Antonio Beaulier comenzaba a construir el palacio Braun Menéndez, propiedad de Mauricio, el hermano menor de Sara y antiguo administrador de Nogueira. Mauricio Braun se casó en 1895 nada menos que con Josefina Menéndez Behety, hija mayor y heredera de José Menéndez. El matrimonio oficiado por el padre José Fagnano sella las tres grandes fortunas de la región, que continuaron expandiéndose por toda la Patagonia.
